Produced in collaboration with jayteehazard, ‘We Up’ stands as a triumphant anthem, resonating with its powerful message of self-belief and resilience. With its thudding basslines and piercing strings, the track exudes confidence as BARKAA declares, “you never be bringing me down again,” delivering rap verses that serve as a call to staying true to oneself despite obstacles.

In the newly released music video, BARKAA brings her vision to life, aiming not only to entertain but also to uplift her audience. Speaking about the release, she expressed her desire to create something that exudes positivity and energy. “I wanted to write something that pumped on the stage, that felt good spitting, that uplifted my people and hyped them up,” she explained.

The clip, which showcases “Blak excellence and Blak joy,” according to BARKAA, features the artist in her element, surrounded by vibrant visuals and infectious energy. With a string of upcoming sold-out shows scheduled from March 16 to May 31, including a headline performance at VIVID Sydney on May 31, BARKAA’s star continues to rise.
