The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) has announced the appointment of Peter Noble as its new Director of First Nations and Outreach. Noble, a Girramay and Bandjin man from North Queensland, brings over 25 years of extensive media experience to AFTRS, having worked across various content disciplines and platforms. Noble expressed his excitement about joining AFTRS, a renowned institution known for nurturing Australia’s finest media talent. He takes pride in his Indigenous heritage and sees this role as an honor to guide the First Nations and Outreach division. He is eager to share his diverse experience in commercial media, both domestically and internationally, with the AFTRS community. He also acknowledged the recent appointment of AFTRS Council Chair Rachel Perkins and thanked Dr. Nell Greenwood, the CEO, for the warm welcome.
